In 2008 John started committee called Fuzzy Friends Committee, with the idea to raising money and food donations for the local animal rescue centers. During this time, While John was working at the Animal Shelter and he saw that many people with low incomes surrender their animals to shelters when they cannot afford to feed them. Unfortunately, many of these animals end up being euthanized. Fuzzy Friends Committee of St Anne's Episcopal Church has thought up a new way we can help the animals and their owners. In 2016 Fuzzy Friends Pet Food Pantry was started. The goal of helping those in need to be able to keep their pets. Fuzzy Friends Pet Food Pantry has helped feed 2,000+ animals. As of August 2020, Fuzzy Friends is no longer part of St Anne's Episcopal Church and we have partnered with another organization.
Following the example of St. Francis of Assisi, we strive to help end animal hunger one meal at a time by helping low income people feed their pets.
